There were over 100 pages missing from book. There is an answer section to the book which would have been very helpful. I just had my first radiology exam in dental school and when I found the pages missing I was very upset!!

It just wasn't very well composed...

I'm sorry but I couldn't make it passed the first few pages.
It just wasn't very well composed - story and writing. It reads as if it was put together by an over zealous high school freshman taking a creative writing class at the time of publication.
The price point isn't that great either. I purchased this book at $27 and... eh, I've bought thicker books for less and which were hard to put down.
The illustrations aren't much of a draw either. Fortunately, writing and drawing skills can be improved over time.

This is one of the best books I've ever read!

I've never read so much cuteness and fluff in one book before, which also contained sadness, ridiculously much laughter and also heartache.

This book has everything and the plot is well thought through. It all makes sense and fits together in perfect harmony. Even surprises are hidden!

The book is amazing! I really recommend anyone who loves a cute love novel to buy it and read it. It's worth the money!

Engineers and practitioners contribute to society through their ability to apply basic scientific principles to real problems in an effective and efficient manner. They must collect data to test their products every day as part of the design and testing process and also after the product or process has been rolled out to monitor its effectiveness. The book by Sato is the book as a primer for learning and practicing Ikebana. Beautifully written and illustrated it's easy to understand and relate to Japanese flower arranging as a true art form. This book will help anyone with a lifetime of meaningful learning and enjoyment through what could otherwise be an unfamiliar journey haphazardly taken by those without the insight and careful guidance offered by Mr. Sato. A real treasure.

The book, itself, is a work of art created with great care and craftsmanship.
It does great justice to the subject matter.

If you are an admirer of Ikebana or if you are a Japanophile, this book would be a fine addition to your library.

Authoritative reference for Ikebana

I came across this book in a used book store for $35, and bought it immediately. I could not imagine being a student of floral design without it!

Later, when I began teaching, I used it in my contemporary floral design class for a three class segment on Ikebana. So much of contemporary design incorportates the principles of Ikebana that I felt it essential for developing an understanding of asymetric balance, negative space, and the concept of less is more. This book covers the traditional schools, and forms, including classic techniques for creating supportive, but invisible, armatures.

It is an authoritative source for traditional Ikebana designs and techniques. I highly recommend it!
